We offer Chiropody and Podiatry services in our Barnstaple clinic or the comfort of your own home.
We treat each patient as a whole person and take into account their goals and what they want from our service. For your initial appointment we will :
Assessment
At the start of the appointment we will get to know you and your feet.
We will discuss your medical history, your goals and what you expect from the appointment.
We will also discuss any foot health concerns you have.
We will perform a physical assessment including testing your blood flow, sensation and doing a visual check of your feet.
Treatment
After the assessment, we will discuss with you which treatment we feel you will benefit from.
Treatments we offer include nail cutting, hard skin removal, orthotics/ insole therapy, ingrown toenail resection and many more.
With your informed consent, we will then commence your treatment.
Education and Advice
A big part of our treatment is offering footcare education and advice. There is only so much we can do in our appointments, it's a joint effort between you and us.
With our specialist knowledge from our training, alongside our experience of treating, we will make this individual to your needs and make it easy to understand and implement as prevention is the best cure!
We will also discuss a management/ treatment plan moving forward.

What is Nail Surgery?

Nail surgery is a targeted procedure to remove or treat part or all of the nail, helping prevent infection and relieving discomfort. Our approach prioritises patient comfort and recovery.

The Nail Surgery Procedure
​
During the procedure, we first numb the affected toe for a pain-free experience.
Depending on the condition, a portion of the nail, the entire nail may be carefully removed to allow for optimal healing.
Once completed, your toe will be dressed with sterile dressings and you will be given instructions on proper post-surgical care to ensure a smooth recovery.

We will begin with a comprehensive assessment of your feet, addressing any health concerns, while focusing on optimal foot health. Our Nail Reconstruction service using LCN Wilde-Pedique is designed to restore both the appearance and functionality of damaged or imperfect toenails. Great for those who have lost part of or most of a toenail.
This advanced, medical-grade resin system is specially formulated to bond seamlessly with your natural nail, making it ideal for nails affected by trauma, fungal infections, or other imperfections.
Wilde-Pedique can be used in conjunction with fungal nail treatments, both oral and topical and contains Piroctone Olamine (a slow release anti-fungal agent) plus Micro Silver (well known for its healing and anti-microbial properties) thus limiting the spread of the fungal infection and improving the chances of infection eradication.
